We will be hosting our 3rd annual March Madness in Conway Arkansas at Mizewell Games. Last year we had 32 contestants and we are hoping to grow that even more this year.

March Madness is a 2 day, 6 round event that follows the ITC rules. We will only be making one modifications to the rules this year... we have a 2 color minimum for models (dots do not count). This event will be capped at 50 contestants.

The Schedule is as follows:

Friday, March 11th

40k Social - 5pm
We will have tables set up for players to get a few games in if they want. You will also have the ability to get a few early prizes that will be given out.

40k Happy Hour - 8pm

We will head to a local bar for some snacks and drinks. Will be a great time to socialize with fellow players and relax before the tourney starts.

Saturday, March 12th

Round 1: 10am
Lunch: 12:45pm
Round 2: 1:30pm
Round 3: 4:30pm
Day 1 Finished: 7:15pm

Sunday, March 13th

Round 4: 9am
Lunch: 11:45am
Round 5: 12:30pm
Round 6: 3:30pm
Awards: 7pm

We will start earlier Day 2 so people can begin to head home... I am also calling around to get us a group rate at a few hotels... however, there are several affordable hotels in Conway.

The week of the price will go up $5. The day of the price will go up another $5. Pre-registration saves us time in preparing your tourney packets.

Prizes:
1st Place - $500 cash (if we get 50 people $700 dollars cash!
2nd Place - $200 store credit (subject to increase based on attendance)
3rd Place - $100 store credit (subject to increase based on attendance)
4th Place - $50 store credit (subject to increase based on attendance)
Sportsman Award - New Carrying Case for models
Painted Award - $75 worth of painting/modeling supplies

All registration dollars will be given out as prize support!

We also will be giving away ITC March Madness objective markers along with door prizes throughout the event.

We look forward to seeing you in the beautiful state of AR in March. We are close to several major cities... 3 hours from Memphis, 5 hours from Dallas, 2.5 hours from Tulsa, 3 hours from Oklahoma City, 25 minutes from Little Rock, and 5.5 hours from St Louis.

The Madness is Coming

March Madness is the highlight of m 40k year, and I will definitely make the time to attend. I plan on pre-registering ASAP, and I already have a solid list prepared for the day of. I'm hoping to better my record of 3-3 from last year.

If you're in Arkansas, Kansas, Oklahoma, or East Texas, I strongly encourage you to attend. Mizewell Games is a great venue, the local scene is very friendly, and Andrew and Richard do an excellent job of running the tournament.

I'm excited.
