So I've recently been collecting a full force of MT, cos hardly anyone collects them (why? Is it the lack of choice?) and they also seem like a lot of fun. I've also heard that they can be quite competitive if played correctly (similar to Dark Eldar I hear).

Anyway, which armies should I look out for most when using them?

Cheers

Well Dark Eldar are terrible. Probably second worst codex right before the worst which is chaos space marines. So yea no one collects them.

If you were hoping to win games your probably not unless your opponents are incredibly bad.

From my own experience with my MT army, I would say pretty much all of them. They are ironnically pretty good against Eldar (especially to Aspect Warrior heavy lists) or the Nidzilla built if they don`t bring the full plate of cheese on the table, but everything else is going to be challenging. The good thing, is that you can use the same tactic to pretty much defeat all your opponents. Armies that rely on low model count with good armor are those MT are the most efficient against because of our famous AP 3 Lasgun (for which we pay a lot of points). I had some success against ork hordes and Tyranid swarms thanks to the Taurox Prime anti-infantrie firepower and those armies difficulties to deal with lots of armor (even weak armor). Watch out for Harlequins which are even faster then us and will butcher you in CC, Dark Eldar can be perticularly nasty too. Skitarii Rangers will be in your nightmare for they can bust your vehicule and snipe your soldiers remarcably easily. Basically, if its just as fast as you or even faster, its going to be your bane. You must control where and how the fight goes to win. Good luck and have fun!

Thanks for the advice. I'm going to keep collecting the army, even if they aren't that great, simply cos their models are so damn cool

That's all you need. You spend far more time painting than you do playing. Might as well paint models you like

It depends how they are built. They function like an Imperial Dark Eldar, in that they're a "glass cannon". The term is stupid so basically:
1. Minimum Scions get Melta Guns
2. Plasma Guns on everything else
3. If you're running Locator Beacons on your Taurox, you will want a single minimum Scion squad with Flamers

Looking at the army list, I'd probably max out my Fast Attack slot with the Taurox, and make everything Deep Strike. Two CADs make this a lot better. Add reserve manipulation for taste (I love Lias Issodon).

Krieg! What a hole...

Such a shame that the formations kinda suck when you think about it, one requires you to be in grounded transports to work, the other forces you to use a more suicidal version of Deep Strike.

Well, tbh, I would be collecting MT if they would be kasrkins.

Imagine plastic kasrkin models. Oh lawd.

The top armies will be hard to play against. It should be fun vs orks.

Inactive, user. New profile might pop up in a while

An army of Plastic Kasrkin would be very groovy
