I have the following questions regarding the new Corsairs Forgeworld supplement book.

Can the Corsair vehicles be used on an Eldar list and if yes do you have to take Corsair allies or you can use them instead of a slot on Eldar list.

If they can be taken in the Eldar list do you take Eldar vehicles upgrades?

If someone with the book can answer this I would be grateful .

All I can say about painting is that VMC tastes much better than VMA... especially black...

Eldar Corsairs are an army in itself. You would need to use them as an Ally, CAD, or their unique detachment in order to use them with an Eldar army. The FW book, however, does have updated rules and formations for use with Craftworld Eldar. It is a near auto bug type book for Eldar players.

No earth shattering, thought provoking quote. I'm just someone who was introduced to 40K in the late 80's and it's become a lifelong hobby.

I know that the function like an army (and a really effective one), but I was wondering what are the rules that allows you to take for example a lynx or some hornets in a pure Craftworld Eldar army.

Hold it a second...You might be confusing some things.

There are Craftworld Hornets and there are Corsair Hornets...Which one do you want in your army?

If you want Corsair Hornets, you need an allied detachment.

If you want Craftworld Hornets you can either take the Hornet formation OR use the Pale Court Core detachment and take the Craftworld trait which gives your Hornets/Vypers.

I want the craftworld hornets and the craftworld lynx if there is such a thing. Are there different rules for them in this book?

I don't recall about the Lynx because it's not a unit I usually field but yes there are different rules for Corsair and Craftworld Hornets.

They have different weapons options and vehicule upgrades.

Corsair don't have holo-fields, they have something else between a flickerfield and a holo-field. Corsair also have a vehicule upgrade to give them deep strike.

Corsair hornets can mount certain dark eldar weapons if you feel like it.

All I remember is that the Lynx is no longer a super-heavy, so it's a regular heavy support choice.

There are indeed rules for Craftworld Hornets and Lynx in the new IA:11, and you just add them to your Craftworld Eldar as any other unit in the respective slot.

The Corsair Lynx can exchange its shuriken cannon for a Splinter Cannon or Dark lance in addition to the Bright lance, scatter laser and starcannon of the regular Craftworld one.

The Corsair one can also take Corsair Kinetic Shrouds and Star Engines, while the Craftworld one can take anything from the Eldar vehicle equipment list.

Other than that they are the same. Both are found in ia.11 but ofc on different pages.
