Hello everyone,

Age of Tyrants is starting their Kickstarter today at 18.00h GMT. It is a game of squad based tanks, transports, infantry and artillery (and flyers later), with 4 different armies. Although the rules aren't the same ofcourse, think of it as a Warhammer Epic 40K game. Small scale (6mm) miniatures with lotsa tactics options, where commanders play a big part in succesfull strategies.

See for more rules, background-options:

I am in no way part of the company behind this game, just a enthousiast who likes to see this game become a big succes, especially in the Netherlands.

I've pledged as well. I really want a 6 mm game in my life and this looks like a good option. I like the models, the variety within the factions, and the potential.

The Kickstarter is doing great. They are funded and have added Heroes (addons) and the first walker-models (as stretch goals). Really looking forward to what they come up with next (terrain and flyers probably).

I am eager to see as well -- possibly 2 player and 4 player starter sets on the horizon.

The kickstarter has 4-5 days to go and seems to allready have gone on a final-day rush, even before the usual 2-days notice.

John and his team have done a terrific job of responding to all the comments from the growing and positive minded community. They have added pledge-levels for 2 and 4 player startersets, they have made the main KS page a little less cluttered, they now allow us to buy single bases. They have added demo-play videos and playtest downloads for playing your first battles.

In the mean time the KS has unlocked multiple stretch goals including hero-platoon commanders, light vehicles and cavalry, free casualty models and we are nearing the flyers.

For more info and pics, please check out the website and their forums: http://www.ageoftyrants.com/?atid=8
