I have started building a Nurgle Daemons army and I was wanting to ask for some advice on how I should direct my army.

Currently I have:

Herald of Nurgle

10 Plague Bearers

3 Nurgling Swarms

2 Beasts of Nurgle

Which I can average to be about 500 points if I just put the most expensive things in each unit. I just ordered the Get Started kit for Nurgle and that really just adds about 400-500 points onto my list, and it should look something like this

Herald of Nurgle

Herald of Nurgle

10 Plague Bearers

10 Plague Bearers

3 Nurgling Swarms

2 Beasts of Nurgle

3 Plague Drones of Nurgle

Which would be about 900-1000 pts.

I have some questions

1. Unclean One vs Daemon Prince?
2. With the new Herald rules, does that mean I have 1-4 for a single HQ choice meaning that I could technically have 8?
3. What is a good build for a Herald of Nurgle?
4. What are good squad sizes for Plague Bearers?
5. What is a good squad size for Beasts of Nurgle? I figured three is a good number.
6. Is two squads of three Nurglings better than one squad of six?

1 - generally nurgle princes with wings are considered stronger as they can jink with improved cover. GUOs are a little slow
2 - I believe you can, though you might be a little low on model count!
3 - Extra mastery levels for summoning are pretty standard. I'd give one the portalglyph
4 - Generally keeping everything to minimum sizes is a good shout - it lets you deal with more threats but you could still use two squads to charge into a big threat if needed.
5 - I'd keep them fairly small squad sizes if you're using them.
6 - Yes, generally (unless you know you're just going to be playing kill points)

1) Daemon Prince with wings. It can jink for 2+ cover saves and will actually make it into combat. The onyl reason to take a GUO is to take more Princes in Heavy Support
2) No. The herald rule is up to 4 PER DETACHMENT.
3) Psyker Levels for summoning, Greater Locus for FNP, and some rewards for the aetherblade. the Palaquin is also pretty good
4) 10
5) 1. They are only good at being a distraction
6) 2x3. They are just for camping objectives

And in the future get a lot more Plague Drones (they are actually good) and Daemon Princes
