Our second journey onto Middle-earth of 2016 sees a brand new event which we have never run for the Strategy Battle Game before; a Doubles Campaign Weekend.

Set at the end of the 2nd Age, at the time of the mighty Battle of the Five Armies, you and your gaming partner will join together and choose your side. Do you ally with Thorin Oakenshield™ and defend Erebor, or throw your lot in with Azog™ the Defiler in a bid to destroy all before you.

With narrative gaming at it’s heart, and with more than a few twists and turns thrown in for good measure, this will be unlike anything we have run for this system before; trust us when we say you don’t want to miss it. Will you be there on the most dreadful of days, when the terrible battle of the Age is fought? It’s time to choose your allegiance, mount up and ride to war. Du Bekâr!
This is a Doubles event- each team consists of two players. Each player needs a 500 point fully painted The Hobbit™ or The Lord of the Rings™ army. (Meaning each team has 1000 points) Play 5 games over the weekend against randomly selected opponents from the opposing faction. Play games over specific regions before the gates of Erebor, battle for the control of each using scenarios from the The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey™ rules manual. Join either the Alliance of the Free Peoples or the Legions of Darkness and help determine the fate of Middle-earth. Score Victory Points for your faction; together you will earn glory or fall into darkness. Tickets cost £100 and covers entry to the event for both players on a team, as well as lunch in our restaurant on both Saturday and Sunday. -

event pack to follow.

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.
