Hi guys, relatively new to X Wing and about to enter my first store championship in the next few weeks. Trying to build up my rebel list, having already built my girlfriend a good list, and have so far narrowed it down to 2. Was hoping for some help as to which list would be better to go for.

List 1, Pancakes 100pts:

PS5 Chewbacca with Predator, Gunner, Hull Upgrade, Recon Specialist =56pts

PS9 Dash Rendar with Mangler Cannon, Veteran Instincts, Lando Calrissian=44pts


List 2, Poe, AAZ 99pts:

PS10 Poe Dameron with Veteran Instincts, R2-D2, Shield Upgrade=40pts

PS4 Tala Squadron Pilot = 13pts

PS3 Green Squadron Pilot with Chardaan Refit, A-Wing Test Pilot, Push the Limit, Outmaneuvre=23pts

PS3 Green Squadron Pilot with Chardaan Refit, A-Wing Test Pilot, Push the Limit, Predator=23pts


I have played with both lists against my girlfriends tournament list, winning with list 2 and losing with list 1. Regenning Poe with that many shields caused a lot of frustration for her. The game with list 1 was just full of bad rolls for me which is why I don't want to discount it. Any help would be appreciated.

I would find a way to give your Outrider the Title. Maybe bin the Hull upgrade on Chewie, and use a different crew configuration? Or use Lone Wolf instead of Predator?

I also feel like both gunner and predator are doubling down on the same aspect.

I know dropping gunner sounds bad, but not having the outrider title on dash is much worse

List 2, but with minor alterations:

Poe Dameron, Vet Instincts, R2-D2 (or R5-P9 if you have him), Integrated Astromech

Green Squaddie, PTL, Proton Rockets, title, Crack Shot

Two prockets with crack shots focus and target locks should blow up a Y-Wing or Palp shuttle in one turn. Or put major damage on a Falcon/Outrider/Firespray/Decimator

After that, turtle up and hope you win on points.

List one, but with some changes:
Drop Rec Spec and Hull Upgrade from Chewie.
Add Outrider and Engine Upgrade to Dash, drop Lando.

There are a number of different ways to build the Stack 'O Pancakes. Chewbacca can sit pretty with only Predator+Gunner, though he also benefits from Falcon+C3P0 for added durability. Dash likes engine upgrade for maximum mobility, but it's less useful without PTL, since you can't do the boost+roll combo. You might look into using something like Predator+R2D2, and have Dash be a more tanky ship.
