So we have an interesting 1250 tournament somewhere on the horizon. Single CAD, no superheavy or GMC and you MUST bring a special character. Since this is obviously meant to be thematic I put together a full Ulthwe list.

Eldrad

2 units of 10 guardians with Scatter lasers and warlocks
2 units of 10 storm guardians with flamers and warlocks
2 units if 3 Scatter bikes with warlocks

2 units of 1 vyper with double shriken cannon

1 unit of artillery with shadow weaver and warlock
2 units of 1 war walker with double bright Lance

I think at 1250 I cover all of my bases for what I need to do half decently, and stick to fluff really well. I have 8 Scatter Lasers, 4 brightlances, 2 small blasts, 2 flamers, 4 shuriken canons and 11 warp charges. It'll be fun I think.

Looks fun! Careful of any large blasts, those will hurt.
