Hello everybody,

Iám trying to figure out the best Typhus zombielist for 1850 points and I would really like your feedback, tips and tricks concerning this list both roster wise and tactic wise.

I would really like to hear what you guys think and maybe tweak or totally change this list to something useful.

Thinking of using Divination on the sorcerer with the spawnsquad. Plague marines ride to midfield and hold the center of the board/objectives. Typhus goes with the blob of zombies and move towards the enemy. Small zombiesquad comes from reserves and camp on backfield objectives.

Solid CSM list, or about as good as it can be from the standard codex.

Hoping for a new one soon.

Seems ok, I've never run a zombie-tide personally so I don't know how it it'll go. It's going to be a slow list, so protect your spawn unit in cover because I'm sure that's going to be target # 1.

I'd maybe cut another Oblit to get a few more zombies (you did pay a premium for Typhus so you might as well take advantage), and I'd try to get some dozer blades for your Rhinos. You're relying on those to get to an objective, and sticking them in cover helps tremendously, so you don't want to get stuck.

They need to scrap CSM because they made a horrible mess with Crimson Slaughter, Black Legion, and Khorne Daemonkin. Just an opinion. They made it super difficult to up date because each supplement is based off the 2012 dex.

Looks like a fun list. Personally, I would consider breaking it up into 2 CADS - trade the Drake in for two more oblits [and a few more zombies]. That way, you can have up to 6 squads of Oblits (even units of single Oblits can be potent; your lack of VoTLW is not an issue, and your opponent had to direct a full squad's worth of shooting at it). By the time turn 2 arrives, your PMs and Spawn should be hitting past midfield, and your Oblits will start dropping in and forcing some tough decisions.

Typhus can hold the backfield if you want to keep him in a zombie blob (with all of the skyhammer floating around, he will surely have the opportunity to get his hands dirty and earn back some points).

^ He is correct, Typhus is one helluva home field defender vs. Skyhammer and the like.

Tbh I never take heldrakes anymore. They're way too expensive for what they do. The double CAD is really smart, and I completely agree with loading up on oblits, their versatility is incredible and they're too big of a threat to ignore. I think 3 squads of plague marines might be too many as well. that 1 squad of 5 plague marines is worth 40 zombies. just sayin'

Consider looking into the siege of vraks book if your group allows it. Cheaper and better zombies, no typhus tax required, cheaper spawn (and they count as elite, not FA). I run a purge detatchment from vraks for my zombies, spawn and rapiers.

Help me, Rhonda. HA!

What kind of list is this? It's unbound since it follows none of the actual printed rules, looks like it was just made with BattleScribe without any fact checking.

Problems:
1. Necrosius makes Plague Zombies "non-compulsory" troops, meaning you would still need to take 2x10 cultists or 2 groups of CSM in order to create the CAD. Rules printed in Imperial Armour: Siege of Vraks (2nd Ed. 2015).
2. IA13 has no way to make Field Artillery troops
3. Field Artillery can be "non-compulsory" troops in Renegades of Vraks armies, but only if your warlord is an Ordnance Tyrant. You would still need compulsory troops such as Mutant Rabble.

If you want to run Renegades of Vraks, then I'd go with them as the primary, make your Arch-Demagogue a "Ordnance Tyrant" and also give him "Covenant of Nurgle" which gives you the cool artillery stuff and unlocks the Plague Zombie Mobs as troops, which are a bit better than the CSM ones. But if you don't want to invest in the Vraks guys yet then I think your original list with Typhus is fine, though a few more zombies would be helpful I think, as suggested by some other people on here.
