There's a tournament coming up and I decided I want to bring a deciminator. Problem is I'm sure what else should be in the list. My Decimator loadout will probably be Chirkaneu with Ysanne Isard for an even 50 points. I'm still new so my model selection is kind of limited. Bought the Imperial Aces pack, FO starter set and I have a spare TIE from the old the starter. What I should bring with the Decminator? thanks

He's been ferried through hell on a ship that's ten thousand years old to some godforsaken, war-torn rock; He is one of ten million men snatched from his home to fight a war he barely understands; He wages war against devouring hiveminds, ravenous demons and hordes of hyper-advanced aliens with strange technologies and sorceries he never dreamed existed; no one will remember his sacrifice, there will be no records of his deeds, no glorious parades in his honor, and no remembrance of his name. All he will earn is a shallow, unmarked grave on a forgotten world untold lightyears from home.

Yet for all this thankless sacrifice a Guardsman is a man, just like you. He has no millennia-old genetic engineering, no prophetic leader, no miracles of faith. He has his lasgun, his orders, and those beside him. He is the Imperial Guard.

And he will hold the line.

Looks good.

If you've got Imperial Aces, then Carnor Jax isn't a bad option.

Rear Admiral Chiraneau is a good call - lacking many named aces, he's the best pilot you've got going for you. His pilot ability comes with built-in dice modification, which pairs well with Carnor Jax stopping people spending focus or evade to protect themselves.

The 'industry standard' equipment for a TIE interceptor is Stealth Device/Autothrusters, but a Shield & Hull Upgrade pairing isn't too bad - in some ways it suits Jax better as he's likely to be found at range 1 due to his ability.

I think you can get Jax with Push The Limit, Royal Guard TIE, Shield Upgrade, Hull Upgrade and Chiraneau with Ysanne Isard and Dauntless.

That Hull Upgrade does less for Chiraneu than it would for a TIE (since he has 0 evade dice). Better to slap an engine upgrade on him, he can make good use of it.

Expose is a good card to add to the Decimator, basically no drawback for extra firepower.

I like adding Rebel Captive to punish those taking potshots at the ship, good for setting up the Ties to easily maneuver into position on the enemy's tail for shots.

It never ends well

The Hull upgrade goes on Carnor Jax
