Drone without a Controller

Basically, I've been playing as the Tau for about 6 months now, got a decent force (up to 3,000 points worth of stuff), and now I'm looking for a new faction to play as. The details are:

- No Adeptas Sororitas
- No Eldar
- No Dark Eldar
- No Forces of Chaos
- Don't want an army that is a defence orientated faction (like Tau or Imperial Guard)
- I also wouldn't mind the faction having a cool colour scheme (not necessary)

I would appreciate it if you include the reasons why they're both good and bad

I would also like to thank everyone that replies in advance ;P

Necrons: Have great resiliency with their RP which allows them yo shrug off quite a bit of damage. They're quite a forgiving army to play and have plenty of fairly fast units who can bring the fight to your opponent with a decent balance between good melee and good firepower.

Codex Space Marines: Different flavors to pick from with chapter traits which can radically alter the army you bring's playstyle. You want something fast? Raven guard or White Scars (though I think for white scars you need the khan for the biker troops...). You want a nigh unkillable HQ? Iron Hands or their respective supplement. You want a general purpose army? Probably look at the Smurfs.

Space wolves: Thunder Wolf Cavalry. I don't believe much more needs to be said.

Blood Angels: ... Some decent formations in their supplement(s)but I think that sums it up. An offensive army but for casual play more or less. Fast Predators are kinda cool though.

Tyranids: Flying Monstrous creatures... And i can't really think of anything else that truly stands out offensively. Zoanthropes were amazing until the psychic phase reared its ugly head and ruined it all. Lovely models overall though.

Orks: I understand that a formation of theirs is good but other than that, I get the impression that they've kinda been nuetered

Gods? There are no gods. Merely existences, obstacles to overcome.

Do you want to convert or kitbash models? If so orks would def. be a recommendation. Space marines are pretty good because you can make your own chapters and stuff, and they are really balanced in game.
