I love the idea of a seer council, both from a fluff and playstyle standpoint, but am going back and forth on the right way(s) to use them, right disciplines (or mixes thereof), etc. Thoughts?

For jetseers I have the locks roll on battle because conceal and protect are great for them and have the farseer with the spirit stone roll on fate as it has the most wc 2+ powers the the other farseer goes fishing for what I need be it fate again or divination or santic. Fortune is the big spell here, but eldricth storm is also a good one to have as you will typically have enough wc's to attempt the wc 4 version with or without the reduced cost.

When I run a council on foot I have the locks roll on santic then the farseer with the spirit stone on fate as before and I upgrade for Eldrad and again go fishing for what I need. Here you need a lot more powers to pull off well. Santuary, gate of infinity, and fortune are the big ones, then eldricth storm or vortex of doom and hopefully you can get cleansing flame.

That's interesting to hear because it's a totally different playstyle than mine. I would usually gravitate to something like fate and telepathy on the farseers with battle on the warlocks, then try to pull off shriek/horrify combos and fish for invisibility.

I run Freakshows, so my list varies a little.

I always go battle with the warlocks. I usually go Telepathy with the Farseers. However, if you put a Corsair Prince in with a Shadowfield (maybe a Baron similarly equipped for safety's sake), then Fate can also be fun, since it can give your unit a 2++ Rerollable bulletshield.

Welcome to the Freakshow!

I give them all Lascannons (I mean Spears) and i take 8 plus the Farseer. I put them on bikes. I then go buck wild. Goood times.

Hold out bait to entice the enemy. Feign disorder, and then crush him.

That's something I should have mentioned, that I don't have dark Eldar for a freakshow list and I personally think that invisibility is incredibly stupid and such I won't even roll on telepathy.

Welp,

Ever since I had a game vs Tau (not even an overly aggressive list, I just can't play against Tau) any sense of self-restraint and remorse I once has been replaced with the cheese-mongering jerk that is me and my deathstar.

I’m a bad person so I’ll generally grab a couple more Farseers and an Autarch from a couple of Eldar CADs…
- The Warlocks are going with the runes of Battle since Conceal and Horrify are great and Protect/Jinx is amazing
- A couple of Seers will be fishing for Fortune for a 2+ rerollable cover/armour save or 4+ rerollable invulnerable save… again because I’m a bad person, Eldritch Storm is also a bonus
- The other two Seers will fish for Invisibility
- The Autarch is packing the Shard of Anaris for fearless and to be a challenge monster

In total you have an amazingly mobile, 2+ rerollable, invisible, debuffing, screaming Deathstar because I’m a jerk. You then bubblewrap these guys with Hornets and Scat Packs to avoid any podding assassins…

Of course a more reasonable council I've seen uses Divination and Runes of Battle for a ton of blessings and maledictions for more of a force multiplier.

I play regularly in ITC territory. As a result of this, I typically fish for Fortune and leave Protect in favor of Sanctic for the Warlocks. This opens up new avenues of damage dealing from Cleansing or Vortex, and possibly more survivability with Sanctuary. It does come at the expense of dead Warlocks, though.

I've never run a game without picking up one Shriek on a Farseer. Typically, though, I hedge towards force multiplication over damage dealing. Guide ScatPack, Invisibility on the Wraithknight, Prescience Hornets, Perfect Timing ScatPack, etc.
