So I have decided to foray into scratch building some grot tanks out of plastic card, so I was curious what kind of plastic card you all use (the name of company or link to the site would be great) and other tips and trick in general. Thank you so much everyone and when I'm done ill put up some pics.

When in doubt, kick the nearest grot.
Have a good night everyone.

I usually get evergreen - if you're starting completely from nothing, check out their odds & ends pack. A great value.

Ask around, some of your FLGS should have a display too.

The evergreen stuff is good for a base, textured plasticard is nice for the exterior - try ebay.

For treads, you can try to make your own (which I find a pain), but robogear has great grot tank bits. Try ebay for robogear varan, or hoard o' bits.

Honestly, you could do worse than just buying the robogear varan model and converting it, which is what I did for my warbuggies. But if you can only find the treads, they are great.

The grot turret from the battlewagon is perfect for grot tanks.

And scavenge through your bits box (just like grots scavenge through any wrecked vehicles and scrap lying around).

To a grot, a 'tank turret' just has to be an armoured box big enough to hold a grot and a weapon - they couldn't care less if it was once a Chimera turret or the sides of a Rhino. Similarly, a 'tank chassis' is any armoured vehicle big enough to carry that turret (e.g. a Kataphron Servitor base or the back of an ork trakk) - doesn't even have to be tracked. I love looting recognisable bits from other races' vehicles for my ork/grot vehicle conversions.
