For those that didnt read my previous post I havent done anythign hobby based in around 10-15 years, and back then I wasnt very good...
So after some advice from you guys I got my paint set sorted, some brushes and decided to jump in.

With that in mind I decided to chronicle my progression, in the hopes that as part of this community I can progress and learn from you guys, and put the lessons into effect.

To start lets show where I was (be warned this isnt pretty)...

Heres one of the first minis I ever painted at about 11 years old :S

plus a few from around 13-14

As you can see I had a lot to learn, like even the basics of thinning my paints.
So with that in mind I will post my progression within this "Blog" and hope everyone could give me any and all feedback they feel nessecary no matter how harsh.

Below are the first few models im currently working on, unfortunatly I have flu so the progression is very slow, but I'm really enjoying it,

Up Close these guys still dont look great, but tabletop wise Im alot happier with the effect than anythign I've done before.

Im hopping to dull the blue down with some shade, and I'm going to try and do a Tartan effect on the "Kilts"

Any feedback at this point is immensly welcome

Peace out for now

So I tried my hand at a little tartan pattern today, its not amazing at a close level but I'm hoping that as a full unit at tabletop level this will have a cool effect. I would Love some input from everyone on these images and hope that I can improvve this design once I have better brush control and maybe do a much finer verison in the future

Nice work, you've come a long way. I can imagine tartan being tricky to paint too so well done
