I'm fielding necrosius as my warlord, and he comes with the trait "Intimidating presence," which is from the command list of warlord traits.
So, that just means I wont roll on the "command trait" list for warlords, correct? I can still roll on all other lists?

No, it means he comes with that trait and you roll on no table.

Asurmen from eldar gets d3. If a hq choice has a warlord trait in their army list entry, they always have that trait, and cannot swap it out. You don't have to make them your warlord though if you want to roll for a different one but still want the other hq choice in your army list.
However, remember that they only have access to their warlord trait if they are the warlord. You don't get two traits just because you have an hq that has a warlord trait on their army list entry and one that doesn't. Only your warlord has access to a trait.
Having a warlord trait on your army list entry does nothing other than restrict you from choosing a different warlord trait if you make that hq your warlord.

Ok, but just to be clear, most times you will only have 1 warlord trait to work with throughout a whole game, correct? That asurmen guy sounds like a special case where he gets more than one.

Yes, exactly. It's a special rule he has that allows him to have more than one.
As far as I know, he is the only way you can utilize more than one warlord trait in a game. Unless it says they can have more than one on their army list entry, a warlord can only ever have one trait per the BRB.

AncientSkarbrand is correct. Just for your interest Orks have a relic called the Finkin' Kap which for a bargain of 10 points let's you roll for and utilise an additional warlord trait on the strategic table. The Waaagh! Ghazghkull supplement also has a formation that gives Ghazghkull two warlord traits from the supplement's table in addition to his inherent trait.

And the Necron Zahndrekh who starts with one Warlord Trait and can change it to another at the start of his player's turn.
So, there are ways around the locked or single Warlord Trait, but it is not terribly common.
