Subject: Does the Battlesuit Spearhead Rule in the Mont'ka Farsight Enclaves Rule Extend Beyond CAD/AD?

Title says it all, any Farsight Enclaves Detachment or Formation is subject to this rule in which Crisis Suits can be taken as troops. But outside of the traditional CAD or Allied detachment, does this mean anything. The various formations appears fairly rigid as far as what units can be taken. Does it impact how I can distribute units in the Hunter Formation at the vary least, allowing Crisis Suits to be taken in the troops slot in place of strike teams for example. Does it make crisis suits taken in formations as part as a FSE/Dawn Blade detachment objective secured? Does anyone have a clear idea how this is suppose to interact with the formations and contingents we now build armies out of?
Thanks for the help.

Formations don't use a Force Organization chart, they instead have a list of what units that you are required to take in the formation. Therefore it doesn't matter what Battlefield Role a unit has and whether or not something changes that Battlefield Role when it comes to formations. There is no exchanging units for other units of the same Battlefield Role in a formation. You take the units the formation requires you to take.

Doesn't do anything outside of CAD/ AD unless you are playing a mission or comp that singles out troops somehow.

It could have an impact in the future or in special homebrew/tournament missions.
Units in formations still have their battlefield roles(this is clearly stated in the Formations boxout); if there is a mission where victory points are scored for elites or troops, then the crisis units will/will not give up victory points for their destruction.
As a current example: the Cadian Armoued formation of russes will all(except for the tank commander unit) give up victory points upon unit destruction in a "big guns never tire" mission.
But, yeah; currently it has no effect.
