Auxiliary choices in a Blood Host Detachment are made up of Formations or Army List Entries:
"The Blood Host Detachment is a special type of Detachment that can be included in any Battle-forged army. Unlike the Detachments shown in Warhammer 40,000: The Rules, it has a Force Organisation Chart whose slots are a combination of specific Formations and Army List Entries instead of Battlefield Roles."
So if I want to run the Bloodhosts Detachment.
It states that I can add up to 8 Auxiliaries.
I was wondering if they are considered detachments for the ITC rulings.
ITC has its own
FAQ, which would probably best answer this question. As far as the rules are concerned however the Blood Host Detachment is one detachment, although made up of other detachments (formations) and Army List Entries, as above.
And wondering if that they are not. Could I run
8x war engine auxiliaries? ( 8 soul grinders )
I do see it says you can't have multiple detachments of the same unit.
The War Engine Auxiliary choice is not a detachment (formation), but an Army List Entry. Unless the Blood Host Detachment says otherwise though, provided you fulfill its basic requirement of a Slaughtercult formation, I can't see why you could not run up to eight War Engine Auxiliary choices as a complete Blood Host Detachment.
