I'm getting into the hobby and starting to play pick up games. Is this list (which is made of models I like and/or happen to have gotten a good deal on) going to lose me friends before I make them? Otherwise what do you think/recommend?

I'm not sure why you think it's an over-powered list. Summoning is a nice tool but it requires a huge investment to make it work reliably, so it's not as good as you think. You're also not running a screamerstar with Fateweaver so already I'm sure people will appreciate that!

One question: you have your Princes listed at 125 points. I assume this is a mistake in formatting?

Also to add, if you don't plan to do mass summoning it's still not a super competitive build (pretty decent I think though ), I think most people wouldn't have any issues playing you.

I have no illusions regarding overpower, it is actually pretty tricksy to play (as Tzeentch should be).
I'm more worried about how I come across to potential new opponents;Tzeentch flying circus with daemon factory sounds horrid.

125pts is a copied typo, they cost me 325. Edited it.

Its definitely is a fun list.
With a list like this just get your DP in close combate as soon as possible.

But you should always run Fateweaver he is amazing.

I mean if you want a flying Circus, you can take 3x Daemon Princes 1x Fate Weaver 2x Nurglings and one squad of 11x Pink Horrors for about 1500 pts

In a world where a dreadnought can 1-shot a daemon prince, and things like the librarius conclave, decurion, and scatter bikes exist, I wouldn't worry about it

I don't think it's too cheesy or anything, I think you might catch someone off-guard if they haven't seen it before, but after they see how it works they should be able to figure out how to deal with it. And if not, then you could probably bring anything and win.

Plauge Drones and screamers are still your best bet
