Hi everyone,

I'm new to 30k but not war gaming. I already have competitive armies in other systems, so I am after a more fluffy army but would still like to have the option to take it to tournaments.

Any advice, C&C, feedback, criticism is appreciated.

The reason for choosing Death Guard is purely because I LOVE the color scheme.

If you take Pride of the Legion, you can't use tacticals as your required troops choices, only vets and termies.

I am going to assume that the Pride of the Legion was a mistake since it does absolutely nothing for his army.

I get the wanting to be 7-men strong, but the centurion isn't really doing anything for you.

Since you've gone infantry heavy, can you save enough points to make him a primus medicae? That way, you get feel no pain on the command squad (good, especially with artificer armour) and might get a few victory points for free out of seeing your infantry squads shot up.

Ground-tracking auguries might help. For one thing, 2/3 of the Xiphon's armament is twin-linked, so it's not like strafing run is doing much. For another, it's your only air defence, so it should be doing what it does best and hunting enemy fighters, not playing tank hunter.

thanks for the feed back so far

yes pride of the legion was a mistake that was from another list i had had in front of me at the time. this list has no RoW

As for the centurion i wasn't sure. i can drop him out for another apothecarion easily enough
or make him a medicae at the cost of 1 unit losing there extra CC weapon
either way will save 5 points

i see your point on the xiphon so have changed strafing run for armoured cockpit and chaff launcher - works out to be same price
