I am taking a NSF detachment to add to my Eldar list (Farseers, a mix of Shuricannon & Scatterbike units, a Crimson Hunter and a WK).

My NSF is just a Librarian, a Terminator unit and 2 DreadKnights. Obviously the Libby is joining the Termies. The Termies have 1 Hammer, 1 Psycannon and the rest Harlberds (for theme). What do you think the best loadout is for the Libby?

I want to keep the Libby cheap and simple. Since GK are not the primary focus, I want to avoid making him ML3 with the Book. I think ML2 is just fine for what I need him for since I will only roll on Divination and/or Telepathy. I want him to support the Termies and add to their abilities.

So I was thinking: Hammer & Combi-plasma. This gives the whole unit 2 Hammers and the combi-plasma matches best with the Psycannon. Any thoughts?

Stick with the Staff over a cheap Hammer, the Staff is a better value on a Librarian as it buffs their Deny roll. If you really really want an extra anti-vehicle/monster weapon, take a Melta Bomb instead. Combi-Plasma is great, for the Rapid Fire AP2.

I love the Staff/MB idea. Is it worth putting another MB on the Justicar as a deterrent to Walkers charging me? With 2 DKs, a WK and a Crismon Hunter, I am hoping that high AV targets will not be a problem for my list overall.

The Terminator unit is the slowest unit in my army and I will be using the 1st turn DS for them to get into position early. I want them to have all the tools they need if they get a bad scatter.

Gate of Infanty makes my GKT squads super fast, but then again I take Draigo and a Sanctic rolling Liber Libby Warlord to fish for Gate and Vortex. If it's just the one GKT plus the Libby, Deep Strike is a valid option.

Yeah, I want to cheap them cheap but effective as they are basically just a "tax" for the 2x DK's. They will be the only infantry unit in the list. Everything else is Jetbike, Jump-, or a Flyer.

I like having "set" powers, or rather, not hoping I get a certain power. They should be bonuses, not things you build a list around. I never roll for powers on my Farseer; I just take his 3 Primaris powers (Prescience, Psychic Shriek & Guide). Although, I might not do this for the Librarian. They are some good powers in both Divination and Telepathy that could make the Termies a better "Anvil" unit.

If you had to choose between just Divination or just Telepathy on a ML2 Libby, what would be better? Telepathy has Invis and Shrouding which can make the Termies hard to remove, but Divination has more offensive stuff like Prescience and the Overwatch at full BS power.

I think Misfortune is the real gem in this list. As it targets the enemy unit, even my Eldar can benefit from it. Rending Scatter lasers anyone?

Really?!?! Other than Gate, what is so good about Sanctic? The Primaris is worthless if not fighting Daemons and Termies already have it and Hammerhand. Sanctuary is good, but Divination also has a 4++ power. Vortex is too short ranged and too many WC to be reliable. Purge soul & Cleansing flame also require too many WC for such situational powers. Am I missing something?

If you have the points the relic SB isn't a bad buy.

Banishment is situational, it's true, but so are all psychic powers. Sanctic can net you Gate for awesome mobility, Cleansing Flame for nova damage, Vortex for both D damage and temp terrain, Sanctuary because +1 to invuls can be huge, Purge Soul wounds WraithKnights and can snipe buff models such as those that grant FnP. About the only "useless" one is Hammerhand, because any GK unit you attach the Libby will already have it. A PML3 Warlord Libby with Liber has a great chance of having 6 out of 7 Sanctic powers (5 of 7 guaranteed), which makes fishing for Gate, Sanctuary, Cleansing Flame, and Vortex very likely.
