Here is my first finished Chaos Cultist, I tried to go for a World Eater color scheme and wasn't sure how it came out, since I'm new any constructive criticism would be appreciated so I can get back to painting and making a great army!

Probably could do with some shading in the recesses, and the red on his scars seems a bit too strong. However, not too bad for a first model!

The Grotsnik Corp Bump Feelerer 9,000. It only looks like several bricks crudely gaffer taped to a cricket bat.

Thanks for the help! I kinda noticed I needed to shade a little more, but wasn't sure how it would look to other people. Also thanks for the compliment, many hours were spent watching videos and reading threads trying to do this.

yeah, a shade would massively improve this work. with these simpler models you can shade the whole thing with agrax earthshade and it will make it look a whole lot better. as you progress you'll use more and more different shades with different colours and such

I am also a complete newbie to this like you working on my first army.

The best advice is to watch as many YouTubes as you can about painting miniatures.

There are two channels I watch and they both have AMAZING painting tutorials. I've learned so much watching them and am practicing a lot on sprues before committing to the models.

Check out: WarhammerTV (Duncan does amazing painting tutorials) and also The Apathetic Fish's channel. You can literally learn every technique you will ever need watching those vids. They are incredible.

Things like shading, and using lighter colored layering paint with edge highlighting make huge differences with making the model pop.
