Hi Guys,

So, can I take an extra pair of scything talons on my Broodlords or not? It says in the unit profile that "any model" can take this upgrade. The confusing bit is that the Broodlord is listed after that as an unit upgrade. Please let me know based on your experience or after having a look at the profile what you think.

If it says "any model", than it's not referrening to Genetsealers only, but also Broodlords if they are an unit upgrade.
Having said that, I don't know the exact wording of the complete unit entry, so there might be something preventing it.

The spawn of cryptus is modeled with all claws but the default fine cast model has claws and talons. I would take that to mean they can take talons.

From what I remember, if it specifically says a name, then only units with that Exact Name on their unit profile can take it.

If it says "Any model", it effectively means anything in the unit can take it.

Yes, Broodlords can take talons. Unfortunately, they have to use the upcosted numbers on adrenal/toxin sacs :(
