Is this a good combo? Can I give them a waveserpent for some ridiculous turn 1 shocking nonsense?

Well that depends; what makes you think it is a good combo?

1 inch infiltrate and an angry waveserpent.

Does not work according to Illic's rules.

No earth shattering, thought provoking quote. I'm just someone who was introduced to 40K in the late 80's and it's become a lifelong hobby.

Illic's only saving grace is putting him with Dark Reapers in an Aegis line. Anything else he will get murdered badly.

Pretty sure Illic's 1" Infiltrate rule doesn't work with any unit other than himself and maybe Pathfinders/Rangers, don't have the codex on me so I can't check myself. If it actually does work with any Infiltrating unit, that would be pretty hilarious if you could get a Warlord with the Master of Ambush trait from the Strategic Chart and combine it with Wraithguard.
