Really wanted to build this army but I doubt I'll have the time/money so I'll probably go with an easier AoS project

Chaos cultists: empire free company, flagellants, wizard, and summoned demons.
Misty mountains goblins: goblins, bat swarms, vampire bats, wolves
If you are really good at converting and painting, why not non-human undead: necromancer and elves, dwarves, heck even giants modelled as ghosts or zombies.

Not so much a new idea as a combination of two of the above, but a 'haunted land of Sylvania' type list with malignant ghosts, vamp counts 'creatures of the night' (bats, wolves), sylvaneth forest spirits, and human civilian levy (empire/brets), led by aristocratic vampires and the zombie-summoning necromancers who serve as court advisers.
