When I was teaching in Japan I did a lesson where students had to try and explain a word they didn't know.

Volcano was one of them and a student came up with "mountain, very, very angry".

Always liked that one, just about perfect.

Somewhere in south-central England.

Japan has several active volvanoes and some that are dormant. There is also plenty of geothermal activity around the country. I am surprised they haven't made more use of geothermal power plants like Iceland.

Enough to be reminded of the giant serpent coiled around the world tree now that you brought it up. Probably a few more. But when was the last time Reykjavik had something rampage through it?
