Who doesn't love the new Knight?

Here are some pics from Battle Bunnies of the model itself, which are just awesome.

That being said, the rules were found - though probably not finalized.

And here are the (dead sexy) rules!

WS 4
BS 5
S10
14/13/12
I3
A3
7 HP

2x TL Magna-Lascannon 72" S10 AP1 Ord 2 Lg Blast
Ironstorm Missile Pod
2x Autocannons

435pt

So, that is most likely going to shoot up in points or otherwise be toned down. I can see it going to BS4 and maybe 6HP, though maybe if we are lucky this is its final form. At that price, it is just a great buy for Questoris Knight players.

My first thought was to make it an Aspirant. Reducing it to 400pt and giving it ObSec while dropping to BS4 (oh no!) and a 5+ Ion isn't bad on an AV14 chassis, imo. Seems like a winning combo if your heavy slot is already loaded like mine is (twin Styrix Arbalesters, duh).

What do you other fine folks think about this big brute?

So..... It's lost initiative relative to a normal knight as well. Still a very good unit, though.

Its firepower IS going to hit - I have to say I don't get why it's twin-linked as well as Ordnance 2; it's only got four barrels, after all - but what the hey.

I think an Aspirant is probably a good call. If you're using it as backfield fire support and can keep people away from it, it's a good scoring unit (it doesn't have objective secured; it's just scoring) to protect an objective in your deployment zone.

As noted, as long as you can take incoming fire on your frontal armour and no-one gets near you with a reaper chainblade, it should be fine. The problem, of course, is that any melee-armed knight or titan will cut it to pieces VERY quickly. It's great at stopping terminator squads and light to medium armour (predators, contemptors, etc.

What it may struggle with is a rival Knight (especially one with a 3+ ion shield or even an ionic flare shield), or (especially) a Spartan with a Flare Shield. But then you should have your own melee armed knights to intercept such threats.
