Greetings Fellow Designers,

I thought it would be fun to create a thread where we would post up all of the various games we have made. It could serve as a one-stop shop for us to see what everyone has done and play other peoples stuff!

I will go first. All of my games are free because I do this as a hobby. Giving them away for free makes dealing with copyrights a lot easier. Plus, when you see the atrocious level of typos and grammar errors you will understand that you get what you pay for.

COMPLETED GAMES:

Aquanautica Imperialis- https://app.box.com/shared/e2dmaf1zaj
Probably the first game I completed and other people have played. It is a game of wet-navies in the grimdarkness of the 41st Millenia. It was great to see other people build fleets and play games all over the globe! I know other people have actually played this one! It was inspired by BFG, Man-o-War, Adeptus Titanicus, and other similar games.

Aquanautica Imperialis: Battle for the Depths- https://app.box.com/s/b8g0spwqwow600z0ovii
This is a spin-off game of Aquanautica Imperialis that deals with submarine battles in the grim darkness of the 41st Millenium. This one took heavily from Aeronautica Imperialis and associated games.

JUGS: A Game of Big Stompy Robots- https://app.box.com/s/0b5nnx4677j09lpjpqho
Basically, I ported some of the mechanisms from Aquanautica Imperialis into a game of Big, Stompy Robots because Battletech was way to crunchy for me and I was intimidated by all the Fluff for it after I bought the 50th Anniversary Boxset. I was also partly inspired by Mike Roache's Robotech drafts and Force-on-Force. To be honest, it never really turned out the way I wanted, but there you go. I decided to call it good and move on.

The Games: Blood and Spectacle- https://app.box.com/s/ntrgx0qon573jt6ttsis
This is probably my favorite game that I have made to date and it deals with Roman Gladiators. It was inspired a lot by Crom, Ronin, and GW's Specialist games for the campaign system. I was really excited to see this one get a BoardGame Geek page.

Combat! Starring Vic Murrow!- https://app.box.com/s/thqwlz2djqyfwbrbt58v
This one was inspired by the TV show of the same name. I use to watch it all the time as a kid with my dad. It is intended to capture the feel of WWII squad-on-squad from the TV show and not be all that realistic. This one also has a campaign system to play seasons and features Solo-play rules that I kind of like. This game wasn't really inspired by any other game system, but you can see some Bolt Action, Blood Bowl, Two-Hour Wargames, Two Fat Lardies Games, and possibly Force-on-Force in it.

You can find a quick game run through here: http://s3.zetaboards.com/The_Ammobunker/single/?p=8338331&t=7196852

In my past I have also made a lot of campaign rules and mods for GW game systems, particularly Specialist Games. I will spare you those, but that was my start to Game Design. My daughter and I especially liked our Gorkamorka-Da Deff Islands Skirmish which put the action on the high seas! Good times, good times. You can find that in the Operation Hemlock Campaign Book- https://app.box.com/shared/meahqycqgy But I promise to spare you anymore GW related stuff unless you ask.

IN PROGRESS GAMES:

Castles in the Sky
This is a game set post-Martian Invasion where martian technology has led to rapid advancements in human technology. The most important of these is the commonly known, Air Screw. This device is really a combination of technological breakthroughs that has allowed man to reach for the skies in ways never before imagined. However, it is still the early 1900's and Great Power tension still rules the world. Yup, it is an Aeronef game. The initial rules take heavily from my Aquanautica Imperialis and Aquanautica Imperialis: Battle for the Depths rules. Therefore, I am hoping this takes me less than the usual 2.5 years to complete. We will see.

Fantasy Blackpowder
I don't have anything to share on this one as it is still in the early stages. However, the goal is to create a Napoleonic inspired game with fantasy elements. This is a mass battles game. The basic mechanics use different sized dice to signify Morale (The shakier your morale, the smaller the dice you use ala Savage Worlds and Force-on-Force) and an order system similar to old Epic rules. This one is still so new it is just a bunch of scribbles on a Word document.

NEVER FINISHED GAMES:

Skylanders: The Living Room Adventures- https://app.box.com/s/3qyn3xjsnvued9mpxxm9u267bsy7bfcm
I wanted to have some game I could use with all those first edition Skylanders my family had accumulated. The interesting thing about this game was going to be it was 1:1 scale and played anywhere with any loose objects becoming terrain. The intention was to make a "Beginner's Wargame". I was never really satisfied with the mechanics and I didn't want to make a profile for each Skylander as there were like 50 of them.

You can find a quick game using the basics here: http://s3.zetaboards.com/The_Ammobunker/single/?p=8314295&t=7649460

Aquanautica Imperialis: Horrors of the Deep- https://app.box.com/shared/xhla7qb346
This was going to be a smaller scale game that was closer in nature to the old Adeptus Titanicus and Man-O-War mechanics where each vessel and Tyranid was its own beast. Basically, it was going to be a water navy skirmish game, where the main rules are more massed battle. However, the more I worked on it the less I liked it. I didn't feel it really added anything to the Aquanautica Imperialis line and it was getting into the rivet counting of a lot of other Naval/Space games.

Okay, now it is your turn! I look forward to reading about all of them.

I've written rules and fan lists for specialist games like Necromunda, fan lists for Kings of War and Warpath, and fan card concepts for Hearthstone and Magic: the Gathering.

Full games I've made or started making are:

Jinx's Rocket Ride - Not a board game, a java game I made for April Fools' Day last year about speeding down a street trying not to run into anything. Also where I got my Avatar from.

Alien Attack - An XCOM-inspired board game about fighting off a low level alien invasion. Incomplete - I've got a nice system for assigning alien attacks, but need to develop it beyond that.
