Since the GUOs are out on GWs website and FW is nuts cashwise, I'm looking at buying one of the Maggoth Lords from AoS and using a round base (can find the old ones witht he square bases for about $30 cheaper than the repackaged round ones). Anyone know what size base they sit on and how close they are to a GUO size wise?

They're close-ish to the Forgeworld GUO (a little taller, a little slimmer). They'd need to go on a flyer base.

I would get the Glottkin instead if you can.

It's closer to the Bloodthirster in terms of size (and most likely the new GUO will be that size too), you get 2 extra characters you can convert into chaos lords (or heralds of Nurgle, either one would fly) and even if they come out with a GUO that's smaller, you can use it as good ol' scabby (the FW GUO).

Regardless, the base the Maggoth lords come on is the standard oval base (the one the Maulerfiend comes on). it should fit snuggly.

Fair enough, I'm just not a fan of the Glottkin. I also think it's almost too big, whereas the Maggoth Lord is close to the FW GUO

Both are pretty close, it's just one is bigger while the other one is smaller:

(not my picture)

You gotta remove the horns though, they're the main problem with his size compared to ol' scabby.

However when they do inevitably update the GUO in plastic, it's probably going to be closer to the maggoth lords in size, if only to differentiate between the FW version. Size-wise, I've not seen the Maggoth lords in comparison to Scabby, but I have seen them be roughly the same size as Maulerfiends.
