WELCOME EVERYBODY

I'm Ricimdi and I'm all about saving $$$.

Blowing cash on new minis = bad.
less $$$
less minis...

Buying cheap(er) used minis and making 'em better = good
more satisfaction
more $$$

potential resale value (How well can you paint...?)
more minis...?

This blog = me IMPROVING used/old minis.

My goal = Inspire you to do the same, save $$$ and improve your modelling/painting skills.

Feedback is much appreciated.

Project 1 PREVIEW: OOP Catachans + "Animal"

Mini(s) Stats:

Age = ~10+ yrs
Price = ~$8 US (~$1.60/mini)
Obtainment = Secondhand

ALL were stripped and flocked prior to photo. (In future projects I'll actually show them in their original state, I just have LOTS of already-stripped minis lying around waiting to be painted.)

More of these guys yet to come...

Project 1 COMPLETE: OOP Catachans + "Animal"

Only took like 2 months but they're done...

I painted them to match the rest of my IG army (tabletop quality standard) and I'm fairly happy with the way they turned out.

ALSO, I learned that when stripping metal minis with simple green, if you leave them in the solution long enough (6-8 months +) they will begin to react. This is why the models here may appear to have an unusual grainy look to them.

All the minis.

Animal from the front.

Animal from the back.

Good work sir - I share many or your sentiments. I'm happy to say building my titan cost me about $15
