They get one turn of TLing and a little help with reserves. Just comparing them to Ultramarines, who can get a lot more re-rolls, plus more special characters, etc, they look a little “meh” On top of that, as a FW chapter, there are some people who just wouldn’t consider them.

I think they could make a fine choice for certain tactics. Brutal for Skyhammer.

They're basically poor Ultramarines when you add in your own reserve manipulation from elsewhere.

I mean, everyone gaining TL for a turn is nice, but the Devastator Doctrine will do that for any unit that will matter.

Working on it

I actually quite enjoy using the Star Phantom tactics.

Have half your force make a line, put the other drop pods.

Use the ability and do as much damage as possible, then drop in the pods next turn (Bring some things to help with this)

I've only attempted this twice with some proxy stuff but it did alright

<Dynasty> ~10500pts
War Coven of the Coruscating Gaze ~3000pts
Thrice-Damned Plague Corps ~3250pts
Admech (TBN) ~3500pts +30k Bots and Ulator
