Hello all, thought i'd start my presence on this forum but posting up my Eldar army and what I'll be working on, really looking for ways to improve my painting as I'm still not 100% satisfied but I'm getting closer.

I've been out of the hobby for quite a few years as i started when i was about 10 (22 now) and i was just in it for the painting. Played a bit when i was 16 with my mates but that eventually stopped once i realised i was much too poor and lazy to continue. Now as a (sort of) adult i have money to spend on fun things! I had a lot of unpainted guys left over from the olden days that ive been working on, I've stripped pretty much everything from before and touched up a couple of the vehicles (which i now kind of wished i just stripped aswell).

Anyway here's some of my painted stuff:

Warlock and Guardians (about 10 guardians finished)
Spoiler:

Warp Spiders
Spoiler:

Howling Banshees
Spoiler:

Wraithguard (blutacced weapons until my drill arrives to magnetize)
Spoiler:

Wave Serpent
Spoiler:

Some of the pieces need to be touched up again like with the non-exarch warp spiders i was still just using pure white in the white areas so there wasn't any depth, i've been trying to improve this gradually on ome of the newer painted models (such as the exarch). Also the wave serpent needs a lot of work still, i didn't strip it before trying to make it look better so a lot of the lumpiness from the paint job underneath is coming through :(

Couple of comparison shots for fun:

Spoiler:

Stuff that needs to be painted:
Around 34 guardians (combination of recently stripped guys and models i got in an ebay lot unpainted) with 2 weapons platforms)
Wave serpent
Finish up squads of Wraithguard, Banshees, Warp Spiders
Rangers
Swooping hawks
Fire dragons
Farseer

I also want to try do some converting and take the two old style jetbikes i have and convert them into farseer + Warlock on bikes

Anyway I'll probably be submitting my fire dragon squad to the painting comp for a laugh so I'll be updating soon with WIP and Finished shots

Bit of an update, painted up a ranger and a fire dragon to test out what scheme i'm going to do for each, pretty happy with the ranger but not so much with the fire dragon, blending on the helmet isn't great :/

Ranger
Spoiler:

Fire Dragon
Spoiler:

Also been working on my wave serpent, really happy with how it's turned out so far, been thinning out my paint loads so it's turned out real ceramic looking, sexy

Nice looking elves there. The pics of the ranger and fire dragon are quite dark, any change of a brighter one?
