A Facebook friend posted this:

A re-release of the Enterprise, Scimitar, and Negh'Var with updated and reprinted cards.

Here is the original post from Figures.com: http://www.figures.com/forums/showthread.php?t=79759

I am interested to see what "updated cards" means. I wonder if it is just giving each of those the time token torpedoes or if they actually went through and looked at which cards were not working from those packs and tweaked them.

Revised cards sounds ominous. If they start re-releasing loads of ships with updated packs it could cause issues in the community.

I really don't need that new cube, I've only ever used the original once. But shiny new syndrome may well hit me if I see it in a shop at any point.

it's the quiet ones you have to look out for. Their the ones that change the world, the loud ones just take the credit for it.

When they say U.S.S. Enterprise, does anyone know which one they're talking about?

Time token based weapon cards and more disable crew/tech transforming into discards.

Given the other ships in the line up I'd wager ENT-E

Well... here is hoping its a fix of issues, and not a replace the ships you already have... I'd hate to have to replace 8 Scimitars.

You have 8 scimitars? Isn't that more than the Romulans and Remans had??

Thanks for the clarification.

It concerns me that the Scimitar is on this list. The Scimitar was the first all metallic colored ship, and actually has a great paint job. Looking over the cards released with it, I can't see any that require some kind of adjustment. If they are re-releasing the Scimitar just to add time tokens to the Photon Torps, then Wizkids is failing bad. There are far more ships/cards that need "adjustment" then one of the best ships in the game.

Wizkids might be looking at these waves as the most popular- certainly some of the best crew cards are in the TOS Enterprise and Negh'Var- Captain Kirk, Spock, Sulu, Scotty, Martok, Gowron, and Drex, all of which are arguably the best crew in the game for their factions. Being so popular, Wizkids might have problems keeping them in stock and taking the opportunity to "adjust" them. It shows that Wizkids is not afraid to revisit the old stuff, and change some things. Maybe we'll see more "adjustments' and changes down the road, and dare I say... STAW 2.0? The only issue is if they continue down this path, they will have to address older cards and how to handle them in games.

FFG did it with X-Wing. Though it's not called X-Wing 2.0 or anything, but the new starter set has a different damage deck, new rule book, and an extensive FAQ that has updated/changed a lot of cards.

From what I can tell warboss, its 8 times as many! I had to invest in a few more when me and one of my mates were routinely running 4 v 4 reman builds.

I think it could very well be a re-printing of the old packs, possibly updating the paint/plastic of the older models (not necessarily the Scimitar).

I saw a confirmation of this new "direction" off the Facebook group. One of the members posted an e-mail he received from Wizkids that basically said the above. We just got Wave 22, and Wave 23 is coming in March. There have been 4 more waves with ships announced, but no dates associated with them (except the new Big Cube in June- Wave 27.5). So maybe these "reprints" won't be out until after August 2016? Maybe they will have them for various conventions/prizes? Who knows? /shrug

This is the article/pics I've been using though I can't verify its accuracy. Just last week the waves were still listed as monthly until the summer with the same pics in each wave. I don't know if WizKids is actually slowing down the releases but the wiki has the same waves spread out now until the end of the year.

I'm really pissed off about the Devoras and the Klothos. Those are the two I have wanted the most since they were announced, no who knows. They really crappie part is that the Devoras was originally set for March 2016 and they wave 23 got pushed back then it got bumped in favor of a re-release, F that sh .

Not really a rumor, but has anyone else noticed that prices have gone up on Miniature Market? Ships are up to $11.29 and the bigger models are $74.99. Kind of odd, just a few months ago prices were $10.50 and $69.99.

Well I guess one less Klingon release in the next few months means I only have to be disappointed twice instead of 3 times in a row.

Price hikes on a game that is popular is nothing new to GW, WK and other popular game companies.

That's the thing, the retail price of $14,95 isn't changing it is just Miniature Market. As far as I can tell Coolstuff and other online stores are keeping their prices the same.

Maybe Miniature market is losing money on the lower price? I recently heard a rumor that we will be getting either an Enterprise B or C soon...

I thought that at first, but Miniature Market was selling for $10.49. Coolstuffinc still has ships listed for $9.99, So if they are making money I would imagine Miniature Market is.

That is the first I read about the B or C, that would be nice. The only news I heard out of the Regionals was is that at some point they are switching to every other month, just as the pic from memory alpha implies.

There are a lot of factors that may play into it like rent increase, tax increase, electric cost increase etc.... electric can be a big one depending on size of the store they might own, just think how much electricity they use in a year, if it goes up even 0.15 cent/KW that's a huge increase on a 3000+ sq foot store. I know in my area the electric price cap was removed a few years ago and prices here went crazy.

Currently our smarter than us governor wants to double and in some cases triple school and property tax.

That poop never goes down it only ends up going up, although, you can make an argument about oil.

That could be. They may have had their rent go up. I didn't think about overhead. A few X-Wing ships seem to have gone up so it could be overhead expenses.
