My name is Ian, and I just aquired a squad of Grey Knights Interceptors which I am almost done painting, and have since got a Castellan Crowe. These are the first figures I've touched since about 1999. Then I had an around 70 piece Eldar army. Before that I had a Space Marine army that I had built from around 1988 when I was ten. My first box set was the 30 piece mark VI plastic set. I believe it was the first plastic set that GW ever released. Anyway, I'm in this for hobby reasons more than anything, but delving into the backgrounds of the Grey Knights is pretty cool.

Just curious though, Is the lack of long range weaponry a real disadvantage for the GK? Would some imperial gaurd artillery help? Or anything mech/Skittari?
Anyways, this is my first go with WH40k in the social media era, so this should be fun!

Welcome to Dakka! You'll find plenty of advice for both the gaming and hobby aspects of 40k here! I'm not familiar with how GK should be played, but I do know that properly painted they look amazing on the tabletop!

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/7/24, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~16000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Imperial Knights: ~2300 | Leagues of Votann: ~1300 | Tyranids: ~3400 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000 | Kruleboyz: ~3500 | Lumineth Realm-Lords: ~700

The Grotsnik Corp Bump Feelerer 9,000. It only looks like several bricks crudely gaffer taped to a cricket bat.

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka

IceAngel wrote:I must say Knightley, I am very envious of your squiggle ability. I mean, if squiggles were a tactical squad, you'd be the sergeant. If squiggles were an HQ, you'd be the special character. If squiggles were a way of life, you'd be Doctor Phil...
