Stealthy Dark Angels Scout with Shotgun

Hi all,
Ive been into wargames for about sixteen or so years, but after some (most likely shared) disgruntlement, I took a hiatus from 40k. Now I have the itch to paint again, after only two years of "sobriety". I see there are a ton
of new models out, it's almost dizzying. I see GW has gone to catering to monstrous bundle purchases, but it looks like most of the Troops boxes and such are mostly the same or close. I did notice, with some interest, the Starting 40k sets that run around $85 and I like the look of most of them. It says they come with some kind of date sheets that allow the small forces to be playable, is that accurate?

One stuck out in particular, and that is the Adeptus Mechanicus, I've always loved those whacky Martians, but know very little about them. I'd love to hear any feedback on those guys!

Anyways, good to be back!

Are you playing cult mechanic us or skitarii? I know the box says skitarii, but you can also play them as cult mechanics right?

Glad to see a veteran return to the game!

It is true - there are formations with most of the starter packs that gw released recently. If you're not sure what the formation is, just read the bottom of the description on its page on the gw website.

Also, skitarii / cult mechanics are a damn fine army, they're certainly tough to go up against!

The armies that I collect:

- Tyranids, 2,000 pts.
- Orks, 1,250 pts.
- Tau, 750 pts.
- Guard (PDF), 750 pts.

(Yes I have a thing for horde armies to some extent)

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka
