Tactics

Runepriest joins TDAWG and drop for melta strike, using the SS TDAWG as tanks. Runepriest takes biomancy to boost himself or thunderwolves/wulfen with endurance.Along with TDAWG i also drop the wulfen pod behind enemy lines, who run for cover out of LOS as possible and a melta GH pod. The thunderwolves with the lord run forward and will be in cc at turn two with run and charge with fleet. The plasma pod drops 12" of the lord the following turns to get the rolls for the GHs along with the second melta pod. 2 pods have obj.sec. This list is great for gun lines because the enemy has to face TDAWG, WULFEN and TWC in his face ready to charge turn 2 and uses different units avoiding TWC spam. Thoughts??

I've had great success in adding an I.C. into the TWC (or two) to grant LoS. SO powerful!

Throw in an Iron Priest on TWM if possible, to grant that - and the 2+ save, now with 3 wounds (!), and the Cyberwolves for additional stretch/Multi-Assault, and the choice of dropping wounds via LoS to them that are S10 (so the TWC won't find Instant Death). IMO swap out the Runepriest for this, cuz psyker powers are -so- unreliable.

I've ran about a dozen games with Njal, LVL3 (!), and have rolled on Biomancy every time, to find only -1- game that I've been able to use FnP with - the main reason I roll Bio for them.

This gives your TWC unit dual I.C.'s for LoS'ing from all directions you have them facing forwards against.

It's so awesome to have a full turn's shooting go against the TWC and still find you've lost not even a single one of them, though some will have a wound remaining lol

I'd probably only include 2 SS in the TWC, imo, in shooting via IC's LoS, and in CC you can choose to allocate wounds to the SS as you please.


The plasma pods, wonderful. ObjSec is potent.

I haven't fielded SS Wulfen, so perhaps dropping them in via pod wouldn't be so bad... I fear for them getting shot down, though...

though... they aren't -too- expensive to have them disappear in a puff of smoke via shooting...

The Ironpriest is now HQ, so that works for the CAD.

Giving the Wolf Lord SS is cool, for sure, however I'd give him the Relic Sword for AP @initiative value, especially w/ the additional attacks... SO MEAN! It totally wrecks face.

One of special things about space wolves is they can have vet wear termi armor.
Maybe consider having wolf guard leader in GH squads wear Termi for more survivability.

Too many points for the TDA upgrade, i try to keep the GH squads cheap alpha strikers/ enemy objective campers

The thunderwolves and the wulfen are great threats with good durability via storm shields and along with the TDAWG are 3 very dangerous units in melee . My opponent has to pick his targets well because by turn two all of them are in charge range and can tear appart anything from vehicles to heavy infantry, MCs etc
