As the title suggests, some questions from a beginner.

- Can a command dial be combined with a command token? i.e. Use the squadron command dial, and pop an engineering token.
- Can a ships shields be raised above their starting value?
- Is there a limit, besides points, to the number of capital ships you can field?
- With things that affect adjacent shields/hull zones, like concussive missiles (I think) and transferring shields, if the missiles hit the left hull are only the front and rear hull zones affected or is the right included too? Can I transfer a shield from the rear hull to the front, or just the right or left?

I might have more questions as I progress, but I think that's it for now. Thanks in advance!

Yes, but if they are of the same command type then they have to be used together.

No.

No.

If the wording says adjacent, then it has to be a hull zone that is on either side of the original one. It cannot be on opposite sides of the ship.
