I'm just starting out with bolt action and i wanted to do a list that would be silly and fun. so hear is my 600pts Para Recce list Using Tank war.

Command Para Recce Jeep With Twin MMG and Radio Network (Veteran)

Para Recce Jeep With Twin MMG (Veteran)

Para Recce Jeep With Twin MMG (Veteran)

Para Recce Jeep With Twin MMG (Veteran)

PIAT Team with Jeep (Veteran)

Light Mortar Team with Jeep (Veteran)

Para Section (8 Man)
- 3 SMG, LMG, Anti-tank grenades (Gammon Bombs)
30 CWT Truck With MMG (Veteran)

600pts

The idea behind this list is it is a Para Recce Jeep platoon half dis-mountable Although as i can't split the squad there in a stolen truck instead of two jeeps. Any advice is welcome but i would rather keep the theme so mostly advice on how to use it is what i'm after as i am a total noob on Bolt Action.

Only the Insane have strength enough to prosper, Only those who prosper may truly judge what is sane.

This is certainly a unique list. It would certainly be fun to play with, assuming your opponent isn't packing very many infantry or tanks. The massive amount of order dice you are packing at 600 points is a nice boon.

Open-topped soft-skins tend to die extremely to a stiff breeze. I recommend ending your movement near terrain that you can hide or at least conceal yourself behind when your opponent returns fire on the jeeps. You will want to start your mortar on the board so you can start firing it from turn one.

I imagine you will struggle at taking objectives and finishing off units, as you have little in the way of infantry and long ranged support outside of MMGs. There is also essentially zero anti-tank capability, which I imagine may be an issue in a Tank Wars game. Anti-tank grenades are fine against low armor targets like half-tracks, but I've found it is incredibly difficult to do any significant damage to any tank that has moved. Shaped charges are alright, but the PIAT is incredibly unreliable until you get it 6" away. At this points scale one could easily expect to run up against at least one medium tank.
