Do only certain factions get Altar of War and Echos of War missions? It seems the supplements have them in the back but the main codexes do not.

Are they downloadable from the white dwaf online or do you have to hunt them down? They seem like a really cool way to play the game.

Does the MT codex have them either? Or Knights?
Cant recall, if not, its possible GW simply didnt bother with them in the "smaller" faction codices.
But who knows.

Altar of War is an old book. 6th Edition if I remember right. And Echos is usually tied directly to the campaign books. Imperial Knights do have a couple with the Obsidian Knight or whatever he is called. And a full compliment of Altar of War missions.
