ok So my main squad in my 1850pt tournament list 10 chosen.
Five Meltas, CCW's, Melta bombs on the champion along with his plasma pistol you can give him for an Ex 15pt.
It also says the champion can take an item from the ranged weapons section. indicating that i can equip him with two plasma pistols Correct?

Is this legal????

No you can't. Unlike every other army, the wording is very clear; "a model can replace one weapon with..."
If you're thinking about a Gunslinger, best we can do is Plasma pistol + Bolt pistol.

Keep in mind, our codex was really more of a 5th edition codex that was rushed into becoming the first actual 6th ed codex. Thus, a lot of the little things that everyone else got weren't given to us.

I fail to see the advantage of having paid for two Plasma Pistols, but as Samuhell pointed out, the Chosen Champion has the spare weapons with which to do so. However, as the Champion can only ever fire one weapon, having the second pistol would net no advantage.

No, he can't.
The Champion can only take upgrades from the Armoury page, and under the rules for 'Ranged Weapons', it specifically limits Chaos characters to only 1 choice.

Otherwise you're trying to argue the grey area about taking basic squad upgrades, which while RAW can imply the Champion may take those upgrades, but RAI is pretty clear that those lists pertain only to regular Chosen. (as no other unit champ in the codex can access basic squad upgrades beyond Icons & Marks)

Sure it's expensive as hell, but there's no denying the sheer coolness factor of dual wielding pistols! It's only too bad that Chaos always gets gakked on and never gets toys such as Hand flamers, and/or the basic ability to use the rules properly, unlike everyone else.

Honestly I've read the codex and you're wrong he may exchange as I have said so in my previous post, I have also talked with one of my friends that regularly pulls a double pistol tricks on his characters

Rereading the codex again shows that the champion may exchange one weapon for one ranged weapon this is a one for one trade and can be interpreted as a restriction on having to sacrifice a weapon to gain another however it doesn't state a limit on the number of times that exchange may happen

Perfectly legal to have two Plasma Pistols on the Chosen Champion, as the rule for the squad option says "up to four models may choose one of the four following options". The reason that this isn't unintentional is because immediately after it there's a choice specific to Chosen models (not the Chosen Champion). So yes, you can replace the Chosen Champion's Pistol with a Plasma Pistol, then replace his CCW or bolter with a Plasma Pistol from the Armory.

HOWEVER, this is where the rules would tangle up your plans. Note that the rule says "up to four models may choose one of the four following options". The extra 4 meltaguns are part of these options. If you decide to use this to get your Chosen Champion two plasma pistols, he technically counts as one of the special weapons choice now, so you may only have 4 meltaguns in the squad (3 from that selection using normal Chosen, and 1 for the Chosen-exclusive choice right under it).

This is probably why there's the redundancy for the Chosen Champion's access to the Armory, as he can either choose to take the goodies from the rest of the Chosen's list, take his own things from the Armory, or doubledip in both.
