As I don't have news I didn't put this up in the rumours section, but I 'm wondering if there have been any rumblings on future releases/removal from sale or anything regarding the Chaos demons specifically. I know that Khorne saw some new stuff/revamping/reboxing recently and that Nurgal also has a getting started box set; but thus far nothing for Tzeentch nor Slannesh and from what I can tell very little in models around.

So anything coming for the deamonic hordes?

Well, the most recent stuff were the formations from Warzone: Fenris. Iirc, there were some rumors about Tzeentch-related releases for this year. Things like a new Lord of Change and Thousand Sons. If that's true then it's probably tied to the second Fenris book.

Well the Lord of Change model is very old; even the resin version is just a recast of the old metal. Thus far though the only rumour I keep reading is the removal/downsizing of Slannesh which sounds odd considering how GW has had the 4 gods for years and yet at the same time the slannesh models don't seem to feature as strongly in army lists (which I suspect is simply due to rules and the competitive edge)

I believe there will be more Tzeentch stuff later this year, IIrc

Sad Panda has said don't expect a LoC anytime before 2017/very end of 2016.
Thousand Sons are said to be "after summer".
The majority of the upcoming Tzeentch releases are mainly for AoS, though hopefully if a new daemonic unit shows up, it'll get some WD rules for 40k.

Hilariously enough, the CotW expansion gave us a bunch of really cool new toys, but some of them are pretty much unusable since GW didn't properly update certain rules from our codex...

Slaanesh for example has a new Relic that is 100% impossible to legally take! It's limited to being an 'Exalted Alluress only' weapon. Only problem? Exalt Alluresses can only take up to 20pts of Gifts, and the only way to take the new relics is if you can take the 30pts Exalted Reward!

Tzeentch likewise has an absolutely awesome relic that gives your Warlord the ability to know the entire Lore of Tzeentch. Only problem is, we can still only generate up to half our powers from the God lores, despite them now being regular 6+Primaris spell lores!
The only way to use this thing, is to give it to a Tzherald (as he's the only guy who can take it), and then take a second Lv1 Tzherald as your actual Warlord!
So great, you know all 7 spell from the Tzeentch lore! Too bad your Warlord can only ever cast one spell per turn, thus removing any kind of actual synergies the item on paper is meant to allow!

We also got really great Decurion bonuses, but the actual formations we need to take are just plain awful due to GW continuing to turn our Sacred Numbers into yet another way to nerf Chaos...

The Tzeentch core is doable - thanks mainly to min sized Flamers & lone Exalted Flamers being dirt cheap.
The Khorne & Nurgle ones are literally only viable by spamming either min-sized Hounds or Nurglings. The Slaanesh core formation is just too unwieldy as it requires at least 6x 10 Daemonettes units.

The Auxiliary formations are either amazing (Slaanesh), or outright unplayable (Tzeentch). Hell, the Tzeentch one actually managed to nerf the living hell out of Screamers, since it gave Warpflame to their S4 slash attacks!

Sounds like GW balancing at its best so fingers crossed that Deamons get a new codex at "some point". New Tzeentch sounds nice! Shame there's nothing for Slannesh on the horizon considering that I think they've been about the last to get anything new in a long while.

Knowing GW, they probably tossed dice at a table and generated the entire codex out of the resulting mad-lib.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.
