Hey everyone

I'm a new Ork player and since I'm not rich, I want to take the most out of my units.

As far as I have read, magnets are a 40k player best friends. Should I need to worry about magnets regarding my first unit of Boyz? I mean, they have several options regarding arms: ranged and melee (don't know the names just yet).

Can I just go ahead and use the "standard" weapons? I really wanted to start painting this!

Thanks for the heads up!

For Infantry I tend not to bother. They're cheap enough to get en mass from online sources and it's a pain magnetizing all those models.

For larger things such as Killa Kans and other large things not related to Orks (such as Carnifexes) I use magnets. They are usually one model units, or small compared to a whole unit of Boyz so it's less hassle.

But If I want to get the guys with rocket launchers or other stuff, if everything is glued in that is it.

Well, I could get a new box just for those units!

Boyz can only take 3 Rokkit Launchas max anyway haha.

If you really want to magnetise your boyz then who am I to say you shouldn't. I'm merely stating what I use and don't use magnets for.

If you're looking for a Rokkit Launcha squad (ie Tankbustas) then you'll need to find bitz online and there are plenty of sites for that, although might cost a bit of money for shipping to Romania. You could also get the Tankbustas finecast, but A) Finecast is horrible to work with and you won't be able to magnetize them as well as others and B) you'll only get five models compared to the 11 you get from the Boyz box, while costing more.

I haven't magnitized mine. But i kinda wished I did. THe special weapons arent that important since I only ever use power klaws. But being able to switch between slugga and shoota would have been great.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
I use the rokkit launchas to build tak busta's with.

Always make an ork with a rokkit. Cheap way to get a tank busta unit which is one of the better ork entries.
