Just been going over my copy of Retribution and looking at the new Rite of War and wondered if the compulsory troop choice predators can be upgraded in terms of wargear other than weapons.

Now I know the rules say they can only be "armed with a Predator cannon turret and sponson weapons only" but Armoured Ceramite and Power of the Machine spirit aren't "Arms" so are these eligible to take those other upgrades?
What's people's interpretation of this? In my eyes it seems like you can give it the non-weapon upgrades if taken as written, but not sure if this goes against the spirit of how it was written as they seem to be replacing basic troop choices. Though it seems like quite a big omission if they were implying you couldn't take the other upgrades e.g. maybe wording it as "No other wargear upgrades other than sponson weapons are allowed"

Agreed; Power of the Machine Spirit isn't something you're 'armed with'.

I don't think anyone would have a problem with this - and having the option give your tanks some actual ability to fight a war of manoeuvre.

Armoured Break Threw gives all tanks in the army with 3 or less hull points the "Fast" Rule. So you can already fire everything when moveing 6" and two when going 12". Is it realy worth the points to be able to shoot a 3rd gun? The points you save can buy you another pred or two.
