Hi all, just have a question about grav bikers. In the current DA codex, it says that a model may replace his boltgun or bolt pistol for a grav pistol. Does this mean I replace the twin-linked bolt pistols on the bikes, thus making the grav pistols twin-linked, or the bolt pistol on the rider? Very confused about the wording.

You replace the bolt pistol the biker is carrying. Nothing ever replaces the twin-linked bolter on the bike.

Thank you, I guess the word "model" is what confused me, as the biker and bike might be considered two separate models, and there are three bolt pistols between them.

First off, the guns on the bike are twin-linked Bolters, not Bolt Pistols.

Second, no the replaced guns do not inherit any "Twin Linked"-ness of the guns it replaces. Guns that replace twin-linked guns only become twin linked if it explicitly say so.

Third, generally people have different interpretations of whether or not you can replace the bike's weapon without explicit permission, and I won't get into that because the carrions will come down on my head again. But looking at the Ravenwing Biker profile, I'm assuming you're talking about the Sergeant/Veteran Sergeant, as the normal bikers don't even have Grav Pistols as an option (they have Grav-Guns as an option though).

The bike and it's rider are a single model.

In that case they are explicitly allowed to replace the bike's weapon, but the chosen weapon still doesn't gain the "twin-linked" property.

The DA bikers option includes "or boltgun" because it's the same list and requirements as for Tactical marines etc.
