Just a question, do you have the models yet? I remember making the mistake of assembling my command squad like the picture.

To have the Emperor's Fist Armoured Company need at least one tech-priest. Also, make sure you definitely get pask as a tank commander.

Also, since the Emperor's Fist Armoured Company is a core choice, you could take the platoon as an auxiliary choice and become a cadian army.
You can pick up some heavy weapons (autocannons, lascannons, etc.) and move and fire. Also the platoon gets move through cover when within 9" of mandatory sentinel and they also reroll ones to hit with lasguns.
This would buff the strength of your platoon greatly and eliminate the useless veteran squad.

Also, it means you wouldn't need the veterans who are not really playing to their strengths with grenade launchers and no transport.

tl;dr get the cadian datasheet and consider running a cadian force

first up there is a tech priest i just forgot to write it down which i have fixed. the Emperor's shield platoon doesn't have objective secured rule where as doing it this way they do as it's a standard detachment. And model wise i have all of it built and painted. all i'm missing is the crew of one of the autocannons.

Flint, Mi

I was also going to suggest the Cadian detachment.

Obsec is situation.

The problem with a thunderer if iirc is it has only one weapon...meaning weapon destroyed is game over.

The command squad is eh. The medic and standard seem like a waste of points to me.

I also assembled my first CCS with a standard and a medic, and now they are useless models to me lol.

Are you not combining any infantry squads? If so the vox are redundant, if not those a some seriously fragile guardsmen.

I do still like the LRBT, tons of range and killing power, anything but TEQ is in for some hurt. However they hardly benefit from the increased BS.

The first and only time I have ran the Emperors Fist Tank Company so far,

I took 2 vanquishers w/ LC and MM sponsons for the commander and 3 eradicators w/ heavy bolters and heavy stubbers. IT was devastating. 2 vanquishers in the center of the board to deal with armor and really hard targets, then anough firepower and ignore cover to go around to drown most anything in wounds...while being cheaper point wise as well.

Depends on what you want: more killing power or obsec. When I play, I usually get murdered at the objectives by eldar mostly so trading away obsec for more fire power is good for me. It's up to you though

That being said, if you don't run the cadian detachment, you only have 3 orders per turn so vox casters are not really worth it.
