I am looking for suggestions on how to prioritize my High Elf models. I already have the below models painted, and once the weather gets nice I want to build on this foundation. It seems to me from reading other threads the best thing to do is to build 30 wounds, then 60, then 90, and so on. From there I plan to play games and add models as utility dictates.
Already painted:
IoB Mage
Loremaster of Hoeth
10 Swordmasters w/ Command
10 White Lions w/ Command
5 Ellyrion Reavers
This puts me roughly at the 30 wound watermark, so to speak. Here are the models I have NOS. I have no idea what my local meta is, but there is a community that plays near me, which is good. I refuse to play with unpainted models, so it is important to me that I prioritize my painting in a way that allows me to get on the table as effectively as possible.
Prince on Griffon
30 Lothern Seaguard (IoBx3)
19 Swordmasters
15 Ellyrion Reavers
3 Bolt Throwers
8 Silverhelms
20 Archers
20 Spearmen
Lion Chariot
As you can see, I have a lot of painting to do. And I am not as fast as I would like to be. If you have any suggestions on how to approach this pile of work it is greatly appreciated.
I feel like given the list of painted models above, I am lacking shooting so bolt throwers are on my mind. However, I like to assemble and prime models in a 30 model chunk if possible, and the bolt throwers only gives me 6 models. Thanks in advance!
