The herald is on a disc because i have him with the flamers, to form a psuedo screamer star, not as mobile, but flamers have done brilliant in my games so far, the sheer number of wounds the squad can rack up is really strong. And i would love to add more horrors for the ML2 but i dont have the models

, i would also love to drop karanak for 5-10 furies if i had the models becasue karanak has not done anything since ive been playing this list(or something simmilar) and his 12" bubble of psycic hate means i have to position him way out alone.
I play the army foot slogging, as for the exalt flamers in my first game i tried to remain stationary alot but they didn't do so great, now i changed it up and i move them alot more even if it means snap shooting the D3
str 10 ap2 shot, since its only 18" you gotta play agressive,I keep em stationary if what i wanna shoot is in range already, or i really think ill need the torrent flamer, they've performed really well, alot of forums i see people saying the detatchment is pointless since the exalt flamers will do nothing. but even snap shooting its alot of lascannon type shots, and having 5

ap 3 torrent flamers is kind of amazing(+1S from the formaiton) as their range is deceptively large. I thaught they would be killed off fairly quickly but so far, no one wants to really waste a full squad of shooting on a single guy, and when they have it usually survives because they only commit a squad of bolters to it or something akin to that and at T4 with W3 they are quite hardy, not to mention with all the psykers i usually end up with a cursed earth or 2 floating around the place, as well as Fate-weavers warlord triat + the decurion benefit making 10s on the warp storm alot more likely, i find units in my army are rarely using there standard saves
