So I've been rather fortunate and wound up with 6 Slannesh Chariots and have no idea what to do with them!

I do want to convert my own Exalted Chariot at some point so I'm keeping one in storage just for that future conversion; though it might be a long time of before I get all the parts an get started on that.

So that leaves me 5 to work with. At present I'm thinking of making:

1) Exalted (2 kits)
1) Seeker (1 kits)
1) Hellflayer (1 kit)

That uses up 4 kits and 1 spare leaving me with 1 left over.

So Seeker or Hellflayer or something else? A 3rd exalted and only one of the other two?

And yes I'm aware that "the rest of the army" always plays a part in such choices; but at present I'm purely looking for a mostly efficient/gameworthy choice to generally make .

If you can get a hold of Curse of The Wulfen or the Grimoire Edition of Chaos Daemons, you can probably run them as one of the formations in there. I remember one that needs a bunch of chariots or seekers of Slaanesh and it's pretty killy to boot.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

I would go for a second Hellflayer. The Grand Cavalcade formation allows for up to six chariot entries. Hellflayers can only have one vehicle per slot while the Seeker Cavalcade can have up to three of any combination of Seeker Chariots and Exalted Chariots. Seekers are the third unit option for this formation, so if you already have one or two units of those you'll be able to field this formation no matter what.

Unfortunately, the real question is what you intend to do with your Core choice and potential Command choices. The cheapest way to field the Grand Cavalcade is with six units of one Seeker Chariot. The second cheapest is with one Hellflayer. You already indicated a preference to field Exalted Chariots and would like to build one Hellflayer. The problem with them is fielding one isn't enough. In terms of "killiness" the ranking order is (1) Exalted, (2) Hellflayer, (3) Seeker Chariot. Having only one Hellflayer leaves your Hellflayer attacks less likely to hit. Far better to have 2-3 Hellflayers in your list to maximize killing potential. Coupling it with a fully loaded Seeker Cavalcade of 2x Exalted and 1x Seeker Chariot (placed in front to take the brunt of the wounds) really puts your opponent in a bind re: targeting priority. Does he get a kill point destroying a unit of 1 but run the risk of having two unharmed Exalted Chariots crash into him for 5d6 HoW hits, or does he focus fire on the Seeker Cavalcade to wear it down and run the risk of getting hit by two or more unharmed Hellflayers that each dole 3d6 HoW hits and grant the rider bonus attacks for every unsaved wound caused by the HoW?

While the Seeker Chariots are cheaper, I prefer to maximize the kill potential of this unit and fill out with as many Hellflayers as possible. My own list will field 1 full Seeker Cavalcade as described above, 4 Hellflayers and a 15-strong unit of Seekers. Greater added benefit getting a solo Hellflayer into close combat than a solo Seeker Chariot.

Sounds like a nasty formation indeed Tropic - although like a lot of recent GW things it also starts to beg the question of how the heck one transports these things to games. Was fine back in the WH days with mostly rank and file troops but all these chariots and beasties these days - darn cool but I'm starting to think that one of those huge holiday cases on wheel is going to be needed.

Yeah, I'm trying to sort out the transportation thing myself. I've seen people use foam filled tupperware tubs to transport larger models. My concern is ensuring the whips don't break... or the spiky bits.

Spiky bits are normally ok so long as they are not too long or overhang the base too much - its the whips that are the real problem because they are very long and thus have two problems in that

1) they can snap

2) if they don't snap then they are more likely to break nearer the join area (which considering the nature of plastic glue is basically a snap)
