So I have been working on my harlequin army with the intent of making it as fluffy and look as much like pure harlequins as possible while not sucking completely! However I accept that it will suck and I've just built the army for the fun of it. I've decided to use the splinter rifle bits from raider kits to convert the new plastic harlequins into counts-as kabalite warriors to use them inside a Starweaver with Death Jesters for the awesome fluff of a Death Jester with 5 Jesters in training along side them.

So it's Harlequins, with a splash of dark eldar for better transports to bring to the table (super necessary with this kind of army) what do people think?

I love the fluff idea. You don't even need to say the DE are DE. The Succubus is a great choice as she is very similar to Harlequins, you can say she is a High Avatar of the Laughing god, which is what the original IC Troupe Leaders were called (or something like that). You could also "rename" the Raiders as Starraiders or Skyraiders or something similar

I highly recommend Night Shields on all the Raiders. You need the protection to get your Harlies close enough. You can get the points by dropping some Kisses and Embraces from your Troupes. harlies are very squishy and you should expect to loose a few models before combat. No sense in upgrading these casualties. I suggest at least 3 models per unit be un-upgraded, maybe 4 in the Embrace unit since HoW requires the model to be in base-to-base to work, you may not even get all the models into base-to-base, making any Embraces wasted points.
