So on the weekend me and a friend of mine ventured to the london comic con from sunny Exeter via the megabus. during the 4 hour jounry we got talking about all things hobby related. Both wanting more from our local gaming clubs we decided to look into starting our own one. after much deliberation we decided this would be too much of a venture to begin with, lets start small we said.
Let me explain.
Without sounding snobbish the issue him and I have are that the gaming groups both him and I attend have people who don't really have the same goals or gaming interests that we do. Don't get me wrong, thats not to say the people who do attend aren't nice guys because they are.
Let me give you a little bit of background on why I began the 40k hobby and this may give you an idea as to what we are trying to acheive.
It's vey simple, to have huge games with people of a like minded standing willing to organise campaigns etc and generally just have a gigle over a few beers and rolling some dice. My friend is the same.
So really this post is a call to arms if you like. We are looking for a group who are willing to meet outside of gaming clubs at least once a month for nerding sessions with the potential goal to expand and perhaps begin our own gaming club.
We play numerous games from 40k/30k, zombicide, warhammer fantasy, eldritch horror and the not so miniatures game Magic the gathering. The big game we are currently into is Guildball and we are potentially looking at starting a small southwest league.
Anyway If anyone is interested please get in contact
