I'd like to introduce you to my game I have been working on for a very long time at great personal expense. I would reall appreciate any feedback.

Based in feudal Japan but with a twist. It is set in a parallel universe where humans never existed but beastmen evolved to take their place. Not only that but the life force called Tio contained withing these beastmen can be used to perform superhuman acts and magical abilities.
Tio is the life energy that flows through all creatures and allows them to do amazing feats when harnessed.
In Tio is an important game mechanic that allows each of your models to replicate what they would be doing in real life.
Tio tokens are allocated to models. This allows them to move, attack and use abilities. The rules are written and will be released soon as we are continuing our play testing.

Wafuto Clan
The highly militarised canines that rule with an iron fist. Mostly consisting of wolves, dogs and bears, the Wafuto Clan definitely has the ferocity and raw power to take out all enemies that stand in their way. But with too much brawn and not enough brain the Wafuto often lack the Tio affinity that other species have mastered. They make up for this in pure military expertise with well-trained soldiers and ruthlessness The Wafuto Clan is perfect for the cut throat gamers.
Led by Wafuto Zaifun the Wafuto Clan is the largest clan and has the right to call their leader Shogun. In 1699 The Wafuto Clan rose to power after the 8 year war called The War of Dogs. Owning most of continental of Hanani they have the most resources and man power. But with this they have stretch their armies far and wide and so have lost all power over the islands and any sea trade routes.

Atsua Clan
The primates, apes and monkeys, highly intelligent and peaceful, but in no way defenseless. Using advanced knowledge of Tio and with the largest amount of Tio Affinity of all the species they are very capable and not to be treated as a bystander. This faction is great for the more tricky gamer.
Led by Atsua Chatoto and with vengeance his eyes the Atsua have started to harness Tio in a more offensive way than before. Unlike the Wafuto the Atsua do control some of the islands and although they have less resources and man power they train harder because the weak always have something to prove. And while the strong sit cleaning their fangs and claws. The weak seek knowledge and strength through perseverance.

Small Clans, Ronin & Mercs
Smaller clans such and the Kachiyu of the south consisting of Felines, cats and big cats. The Kachiyu live in the desert and jungles. Mastering the art of camouflage and assassination. Taking the deadliness of nature and using it as their greatest weapons.
The Riputan of the seas and coasts, mostly Amphibians and lizards. They are mostly traders, fishermen and pirates. With the trading comes the access to new technology. The Riputan have the most devastating weapons at their disposal but not the man power to utilise them.
The Ouruman of the Mountains mainly Cows, Ox, Yaks, Goats and Sheep. Mostly farmers, miners and lumberjacks the Ouruman are the hardest working and so have vast amounts of resources. But choose rarely to take an offensive stance on matters and so are very good at defense and can hold out from starvation from sieges. With large impenetrable mountain top forts they really are not a threatened by much.

The Rise of the WafutoClan

As the Paw marches
The sound of death grows louder
The Great Age has past

Machoto Atsua -Autumn 1699 - At the end of The War of Dogs the day before his execution

“Tio, the life energy that passes through all living beings. Flowing through the body allowing the daily tasks of a farmer to be completed and the strikes of a warrior to be strong and just. The Sohei of the Mountains are said to be able to use this power to levitate above the trees. While us Sages of the Great Temple can move an object through the worlds fabric breaking the teachings of time and being. These great masters use their power to help the people and seek enlightenment. But others will use it to oppress and kill.” - Sage Yamasakura of the Great Temple of Kyoichi Mountain
In the year of 1631 the Atsua Period began. After the Great War of 1623-1631 the Atsua had claimed their rightful place as rulers of Hanani the land in which we live. Ruled by Shogun Matoto Atsua 60 years of prosperity and peace spread across the land. But in the light of happiness the shadows grow darker and in 1691 the declaration of war was sent to the Capital of Kyoichi. So began The War of Dogs.
Winter 1699 - The WafutoClan ended The War of Dogs and executed Machoto Atsua the son of Matoto Atsua and current Shogun of Hanani. Thus Zaifun Wafutobecame the Shogun and the Atsua period ended. The Atsua Clan now without a ruler of age and in dismay take home in the Southern Islands where they still own the land and have protected themselves from attack for many generations of the Atsua lineage. A decade passes and Atsua has barely recovered from the devastation of The War of Dogs. The son of Machoto Atsua, Chatoto, has come of age and will now take over the Clan. Mournful and full of pity for the current state of the clan, Chatoto swears to the people to bring back the pride and prosperity that his grandfather once gave the nation of Hanani and the Atsua Clan. On this day in spring 1710 the third great war of Hanani began with the declaration of war falling into the hands of Zaifun. It was named, The War of the Falling Petal
This is where you find yourself. In the middle of a war between two great clans and you must choose a side.

It feels really familiar, and I mean that in a good way.

I'm not well versed in Far Eastern mythology but from what I've been exposed to, anthropomorphic animals are common. I'm sure some people (not me, no, never, not ever ) are eagerly awaiting the Kitsune faction.

Tio sounds like Chi or Ki or the Force. Whatever you want to call it. A plausible life-energy that affects and moves through all living things, but special individuals can channel for greater power. I think it all but mandates an undead or "not alive" faction that seeks to consume all Tio in the world. Possibly even one reanimated by Tiomancers that is powered by Tio-vampirism of living creatures

I think the art and mini renders look pretty good. The Atsua looks a little fragile (not sure what material you want to use, I'd be very wary of metal miniatures that look like that) but very dynamic and exciting.

I hope you generate lots of excitement for the game itself. If the kickstarter (I'm assuming since you put up a link to your page) has a good pledge point for a two player starter with dice, minis, rule and lore/art book I'll probably back it for a copy because I have terrible game ADD.

Proud supporter of

It is human nature to seek culpability in a time of tragedy. It is a sign of strength to cry out against fate, rather than to bow one's head and succumb.

Man those are some great ideas. The kitsune are on the way. I love the Tiomancer idea. Gonna need to get some concept art for that done at some point. Thanks for the support!
